“Don't ever give up.
Don't ever give in.
Don't ever stop trying.
Don't ever sell out.

The Modern Dragon

Why me?
I never wanted adventure. I was just out, buying eggs for his Mum. Then, from that one shopping trip, my life got a drastic change. Especially when a dragon hatches from one of my shopping eggs!

Chapter 1
In which the excitement starts

Finn sighed. Shopping for his Mum was one of the most boooorrrrring things ever. And today, was the last day of his school holidays. Booooring. And, she had asked for extra stuff. She had said that he would need lots of pack lunch stuff. Didn't she know that his school had a cafetaria'? A really nice one? Who made really good desserts? Or maybe they didn't......Perhaps they had used the hens to experiment on. A weird liquid that would make giant mutants out of anything living.......Perhaps those eggs had traces of it on! Or maybe, in all the Jam and Marmalade and Yoghurt factories, they had a row of scientists spooning piles of this stuff into all the Peanut Butter and things. It would be world domination! Or right now, an evil scientist was preparing his most trusted hench-hen, The Eggxtermininator! "OK, Finn" he thought to himself "Shut down the head" So, after many minutes of dashing across the labrynth of shop, he finally checked out. While he was going home, Finn heard an odd tapping and cracking every now and then. Eventually, halfway home, he searched the bag for where the noise came out. It was one of the eggs. This one, unlike any of the others, had large Purple spots on it. So, he decided he would keep it inside his coat. Then I carried on. When he got to his back yard, his mum was already in the front door. Let us take a moment for me to explain about Mrs Eagle. She's a sweet, thin woman, who has one of the sweetest smiles known to man. Sometimes he would even start thinking that there was another planet called planet Smile-O that was in the shape of lips. And she had lovely, golden curls. The only
